Can you afford the Mission Forward?
In short, the answer is “Absolutely yes!!” The better question is: “Can you afford NOT to raise new funds for your church’s mission?” Why not open up that new stream of income that you are not tapping now?
Congregational Friendly Terms – Only 10% down and delayed payments
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, many churches have not been able to continue with their normal schedule of ministries. For some congregations, this has been a financial hardship.
With this in mind, work on your appeal begins with only 10% of the contract fee due at the signing of the contract, and the other 90% isn’t invoiced until the active portion (or “public phase”) of the campaign is finished – after your Connections Stewardship partner has completed all the on-site time with you!
One month after the “Celebration Sunday,” when congregational commitments are gathered, the remaining payments are spread evenly over six months. By then, most churches will have received 20-35% of the pledged response (including “up front” or “first fruits” giving).
Our goal is to greatly reduce or even eliminate your congregation’s need to take money from your
general fund to pay for the costs of the campaign!
Three examples:
One larger congregation raised $1.2 million in new money for a Mission Freedom campaign (Debt Reduction.) Their consulting costs were only 3.9% of the new money raised – and the payment schedule made it easy!
A mid-sized church raised $480,000 for a Mission Forward. Their consulting costs were only 5.8% of the new money raised – and the payment schedule made in very affordable.
A smaller church raised $170,000 in new money for a Mission Forward Appeal. Their consulting costs were only 9.8% of the new money raised – and the payment schedule worked perfectly for them!
In all three cases, that is good stewardship! Plus, in each congregation, the benefits went far beyond the financial gain for God’s work. The churches gained new leaders, a powerful sense of community, a spiritual boost, a better understanding of biblical stewardship, a growth in unity resulting from working together on a significant goal - and much more!
In all congregations where Connections Stewardship has worked, the general fund has either grown or stayed the same during the campaign giving period – and beyond!
